The PowerShot calls itself a stapler and a "nail gun," which is a bit of a stretch. It's certainly a stapler, and a fine and innovative one at that. The forward-action design seems a little awkward at first, but it actually makes the act of stapling more natural and accurate, placing the weight of the user over, rather than behind, the staple. Fill it with 9/16-inch brad nails and it functions as a light-duty nailer. One customer points out that the PowerShot's padded handle is cold-weather friendly. All-metal staplers can be real heat suckers, but PowerShot's padded handle stays warm-and it's ergonomically correct. We applaud this inventive tool. -Mark McDonald.
